How to record video, not just photos
In Camera Remote, touch and hold the Shutter button until recording begins, then tap to stop. The video saves to Photos on your iPhone (Apple Support). By default photos use a 3-second timer, which you can turn off in the options.
If you need to see both iPhone cameras
Camera Remote previews one camera at a time, front or rear. Lookout, from KIDA Studios, records the iPhone's front and back cameras together, and its Apple Watch app shows a live preview of both feeds side by side, with record, zoom and snapshot controls. Prop the phone up for a match, a rehearsal or a group shot, check both angles on your wrist, then start. It needs watchOS 11.5 or later. Lookout for iPhone is free to download, and the Apple Watch app comes with it at no extra cost. Full recording is unlocked by Lookout Pro, a one-time in-app purchase (US$2.99 on the US App Store when checked on 28 October 2026; local prices vary).
