RingConn + Apple Health: Resting and Average Heart Rate, Not a Continuous Trace
70 BPM does not measure heart rate; it reads what RingConn has already written into Apple Health and lines it up with your calendar. So the useful question for RingConn owners is not “is it compatible” but “what exactly does RingConn send, and how much of the day does it cover?” Everything below comes from RingConn’s own support documentation, linked where quoted.
What RingConn writes to Apple Health
The heart-rate line on RingConn’s official page reads, verbatim: “steps, exercise calories, time in bed, awake duration, sleep stages, resting heart rate, average heart rate, SpO2, height, weight” (RingConn: How to sync health and sleep tracker data (21 April 2026)).
The full export list on that page:

The question that decides everything: does it cover the whole day?
Full-day heart rate: no — workouts only. RingConn’s list is explicit and it is summary data: a resting heart rate and an average heart rate, not a stream of samples through the day. A calendar overlay needs the stream. In 70 BPM, RingConn’s export will not draw a daytime curve — unless RingConn documents continuous samples in future, treat it as a daily-summary source.
How to connect RingConn to Apple Health
RingConn describes the connection without naming exact menu labels:
- Set up the RingConn app and wear the ring.
- Open the app’s sync / data-sharing settings and grant Apple Health permission for the categories you want.
- Confirm RingConn appears under Health › your profile › Apps.
RingConn describes Apple Health syncing as optional.
Once connected, open 70 BPM, grant it Apple Health read access for heart rate, and the samples RingConn has written appear on the day chart against your calendar events. 70 BPM shows every heart-rate sample in Apple Health, whichever device wrote it — it never filters by brand.

Readings scattered across an ordinary day mean all-day samples are arriving; readings clustered only into workout blocks mean you are getting session data only.
